Modern communications for schools. Two paths. One conversation to find the right one.
Most organisations are paying for a phone system, a Microsoft subscription, and a separate set of communication tools that do not talk to each other. There is a simpler way to structure this.
The Problem Worth Fixing
Legacy phone infrastructure creates real operational drag. It is expensive to maintain, difficult to scale, and restricts staff to communicating only from a fixed location. The result shows up in small but consistent ways. Calls that do not get returned. Staff who are hard to reach when they are needed most. IT teams resolving issues that a modern system would handle automatically. Business managers paying for multiple overlapping tools on separate contracts.
The good news is that moving to a modern unified communications platform does not mean replacing everything at once. For most organisations, the path forward works with what is already in place.
Two Pathways Under One Umbrella
RTG delivers modern unified communications through two pathways. The right one depends on your existing environment and how your team works:
Microsoft Teams-Based Phone System
If your organisation already runs on Microsoft 365 and your staff use Teams every day, adding calling directly into Teams is the most natural next step. Staff make and receive calls from the Teams app they already use, on any device, from any location. Extensions are managed from the Microsoft admin centre. There is nothing new to learn and no additional platform to maintain.
Best suited to organisations that are embedded in the Microsoft ecosystem and want minimal disruption to how staff already work.
3CX
If your environment is more complex, or you want a communications platform that is not tied to Microsoft, 3CX is a full unified communications system that brings voice, video, live chat, WhatsApp, and SMS into one interface. It works with your existing SIP trunks and IP phones, can be hosted in the cloud or on-premise, and typically costs up to 80 percent less than traditional telephony providers.
Best suited to organisations that want flexibility, lower running costs, or have existing infrastructure they want to keep using.
The benefits of unified communications
For Staff
A phone system that works the way they actually work. Take a call from the office, the classroom, or working remotely. Same number, same experience.
For IT
Less hardware to maintain, fewer tickets to resolve, and a system that updates itself in the background.
For Business Managers
A consolidated bill, predictable monthly costs, and meaningful savings against what most organisations are paying today.
For Callers
Calls that get answered, messages that reach the right person, and an experience that reflects the organisation you actually are.
Let’s have a conversation
A 30-minute discovery session is exactly what it sounds like. Half an hour with someone from the RTG team to understand your current setup, what is working, what is not, and which of the two pathways might fit you.
We do not bring slide decks. We do not pitch. We ask questions, we listen, and at the end of the conversation you have a clear sense of whether either option is worth exploring further. If it is, we will follow up with something specific to your organisation. If it is not, we will say so.
